Level 1

A fun and informative day for students with little or no knowledge of jewellery making. You will be amazed at the items of jewellery that you produce with the basic skills of costume jewellery making.

• Course Introduction
• Different types of Beads available
• Materials and Findings
• Equipment
• Supplier information and design resources
• Discuss measurements
• Make Jewellery using the following methods
• crimping
• knotting
• weave

At the end of this day you will have made 3 to 4 items of jewellery.

Level 2

This is an exciting and exploratory day, expanding your new skills by learning how to work with headpins, eyepins, wire and different stringing materials. Use these techniques to create:

• Wrapped loop charms and pendants
• Create jewellery items with the wrapped
loop method
• Earrings
• Experiment with other techniques such as
knotting

At the end of this day you will have made 3 items of jewellery.

NB. Students are required to complete Level 1 prior to starting Level 2.
